    Good day.
When it comes to changing the power with jumpers for ktl-x 4.4, apparently it should change to 6.6 kW.
Above, it is not advisable due to the "supposedly" different structure. The catalog shows that the inverters from 8 kW are heavier by 1 kg. Someone here in the forum changed the power with jumpers to 8 kW, but the results were not correct. Experienced forum users do not recommend changing the power of the area. 6 kW. This increase in power may place a higher load on components and potentially device failure. There was a topic on the Sofar group, but it was taken off. Probably due to the sellers' lobby not to spread the knowledge about the simple possibility of changing the power. Here, in the forum, I have not met information about the user who has applied the power change to pow. 6 kW for longer. I am curious how such an inverter works then. Maybe some of the users will develop this topic.

Hello, I'm new here, sorry if I'm posting without searching through the forums, I have to help my neighbour who has bought a 5.5KTLX G3 inverter and I need to know if any of those smart meters are working for activating Zero Export function:
    1. SOFAR SOLAR DTSD422-D3 - do I need to buy the CT's separately, is this working?
    2. CHINT ELECTRIC 3F DTSU666 Smart meter
    Thank you!

@xenonshop if you want to have the export / consumption calculation in the sofara application, it's just their counter (No. 1; and on 99% of the clamps are included, but you can always write to the seller)

I need zero export function to be activated on inverter, so I will not inject in grid, until I get the prosumer certificate (3-6 months).

Thanks. When you start the inverter for the first time, you need to set the time and enter the country code to start it up.
Please, how to connect longi panels 450w 12pcs. for inverter 8.8ktlx G3
one slope roof, i.e. all panels will be in one slope.

I have 16 strings, they are divided into 2 strings and the max I had was 375V on one, but on average it holds 330V.

Gentlemen, what% do you estimate that the production will be distorted / understated by the KTL-X series inverters? I am asking because when comparing the readings from the ZE meter (the amount of energy dissipated at a given moment) with the values from the display, it turns out that the equipment gives back more than it declares. You know, the meter reading is binding, but I'm curious if anyone looked at it more.

Ok, I'm already waiting for what's going on, unfortunately none of the listed ones will help, here's something: https://sofarsolarpoland.pl/produkt/arpr-zero-export-device/

EDIT: Although you can still check it: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=672524673319318 if you have such connectors, you only need to buy clamps.

I thought the inverter has the Zero export function implemented.

@ arek1313 I have not heard of such a distortion before, usually it overstates. How did you check these indications? Do you have an inverter on the circuit without any consumption? Straight goes to your supplier's meter?

    @ januszkk1 not moved, original 6.6 with software 2.50
@ja_pizgam normally plugged into the board, reading from the meter, from probably 2.7.0 (if I remember, if I correct it), i.e. already reduced by what the house takes. Illustratively, the inverter gives 2.50kw instantaneous, and 2.55kw goes to the network - the values I gave are a bit simplified, if I succeed, I will turn off what I can on Saturday / Sunday and compare it with two people (unless my wife tells me that already quite ...).
Compared to the previous Afore, you can see how he was misleading, now the value added to the network is very close to the value produced.

@ arek1313 It is possible that it is about phase balancing, one does it according to the arithmetic formula and the other according to the vector formula.

What application do I need to download to the sofar g3 phone so that I can remotely view the operating parameters of the installation.

The converter is connected to the cube terminals and the network to the switch

It should be like that, the network should be cut off and secured, because this 'switch' is a fuse :) and the inverter is attached to the ankle on the left.

    Hello
Have you met with such a problem with your colleagues?
Sofar 3.3TL-G3 (1 phase) inverter new, used about four months. It worked very well but for about two weeks in the morning it won't turn on (not producing)
Everything's okay, the display is on, the green LED is constantly on, but only produces 10W. When I turn it off after DC or AC for a few seconds, everything returns to normal. It will happen from time to time that it will fire normally, like now on Sunday, but not yesterday and today. I have to go home and turn it off and on and it works great.
Maybe someone has an idea for this problem?
    Regards

Have you solved your problem? I have exactly the same case with the same inverter (3.3KTL-G3) and for three weeks I have to run to the garage (or send my wife) and restart manually (AC or DC doesn't matter). The inverter screen shows "normal". The green LED is on and the inverter is clearly louder. If it does not restart manually until the end of the day, despite sunny weather, it will produce 10W in this suspended state. The case is very irritating. I called the Sofar service a week ago - no idea on the spot, they sent a description of the problem to China and so far they have not responded to Polish support what could be the reason.

@ja_pizgam on the Polish website stated that the soft is the latest (3.60). It seems to me that the only thing that could help is, for example, modifying the startup parameters (in this model with the safetySTART.txt file from what I have figured out). I could not find the file (even an example) anywhere on the network. The problem is analogous to the colleague I quoted. So the AC voltage never exceeds 240V, everything on the roof is correct, if only because the inverter works perfectly after a manual restart. He does not wake up in the morning (i.e. he wakes up and shows the status "normal" / green LED but produces from 0 to 10W and so on all day if he does not restart it with his finger).

And what parameters does the application / website show you regarding voltage and current on the DC side?

@ja_pizgam The situation from today. I marked the red arrow at which point I restarted it. If I did not do it, the voltage would grow non-stop during the day and the current would be in the range from 0 to 100mA. The colleague I referred to had an identical situation. He mentions in some post that when he sees too high voltage after DC, he already knows that he has to go to the garage.

I will add (because it may be important) that the panels are 8x Hyundai HiE-S400VG.

https://www.sofarsolar.com/downloads here in the tab Firmware & Safety some configuration files appeared, but no description what the value is for, there is version 5 and 6 and there are changes between them, but probably all are for 3-phase models because from what I can see your model should be 1-3kW-G3 .

@ja_pizgam yes, I have already downloaded these files. They are three-phase it one and two that the structure is quite different. According this post in my model, the modification of safe voltages / frequencies or startup parameters is done using dedicated files (and not as in the case of what Sofar has on its website for download - so everything is in one file named with the country code). Although I am not sure about this because I have not been able to find files for single-phase versions anywhere on the network.

If I even knew how to send a restart command to the inverter after MODBUS, I would dress it in some code and I would not spend my / wife's time constantly checking whether the inverter got up today.

Hy. Can anyone help me? I own a SofarSolar 8.8 KTLX-G3 V1 and every time when it is resetting, it loses system time and I lose production on that day. I tried to update via USB but I receive MDSP File Error, SDSP File Error and Arm file error. I tried fw from v2.20 to v3.40 and the same error...

Topic summary

The discussion centers on experiences with Sofar inverters in approximately 8kW photovoltaic (PV) installations, focusing on technical issues, durability, and configuration challenges. Users report generally stable operation with models like Sofar 6.6KTL-X and 5.5KTL-X over extended periods, though some face connectivity problems, especially with Wi-Fi and software availability. A recurring technical problem involves input voltage exceeding the maximum allowed 600V DC for single-phase Sofar inverters (notably the 4KTLM-G2), causing errors such as PVOVP and BusOPV and inverter shutdowns. This is often due to too many PV panels connected in series on a single string, with 15 Q.CELLS Q.PEAK G4.1 305W panels sometimes exceeding voltage limits, especially in cold conditions where voltage rises. Solutions include splitting panels into two strings (e.g., 8 and 7 panels) connected to separate MPPT inputs, though some users report this does not fully resolve the issue. The maximum recommended panels per MPPT input is around 9 to avoid surpassing power and voltage limits. Users also discuss the need for three-phase inverters for larger installations above 7kW on a single phase due to grid operator restrictions. Software and firmware updates are sought after but not easily accessible, with some users lacking Polish language support. Comparisons with other brands like SMA and Fronius highlight Sofar's cost advantage but raise concerns about long-term reliability and service support, which is still developing in some regions. Network-related errors such as Grid OFP (over-frequency) have been reported, with troubleshooting involving network frequency checks and inverter restarts. Overall, Sofar inverters are considered a cost-effective option with some technical caveats related to system design, installation quality, and support infrastructure.
