I am very interested in this. I searched the Polish and English-language internet and found nothing about it. I understand that we, Poles, are such a specific nation and maybe elsewhere they do not think so much. And until someone confirms that he did so and the surgery was successful and the patient did not die, it would be a shame to risk a 4k stand. And God forbid the inverter breaks down for another reason and we forget to change the jumpers before sending back and after the warranty.
Of course, such cases have already been, for example, in processors, graphics cards where the manufacturer blocked the computing sections, after unlocking which you could enjoy a higher model.
    I'm still waiting.

I'm curious about your inverter temperatures now or in summer. For say 50 PLN, you can equip yourself with a power supply with a thermostat with 2-3 80 * 80 mm fans connected, for example, on the C profile, you can screw to the wall under the inverter and set the thermostat, for example, to 45 and the fans will turn on. Only if it pays off.
In my room by the garage, the window is still open, the side of the room is always shaded and the northern side is always cold there and the inverter has a maximum temperature of 48 ° on March 31st at 2pm, which is the hottest day so far. This is what the app shows.

I have installations since November and I have not seen a temperature higher than 50 degrees. I have an inverter in a boiler room and it is quite cool there.
Such a curiosity with today I stood for a while at the inverter and the instantaneous power exceeded the maximum power, I saw the values of 4.53kW for the 4.4KTL-X inverter. It would be nice to have a real reading every 1s, not every 5 minutes. A perfect day for temporary records. It's cold and the sun comes out behind the clouds every now and then.
The worst thing is that the tensions on the phases are also increasing. I have never seen 245.5V and today it is on one phase, it was usually around 240-242V for me.

I've already seen 268 volts on phase.

I have a sofara 8.8 inverter with panels with a total power of 8.97.
The inverter itself is suspended in a small boiler room in a one-story house, so the temperature inside, due to the underfloor heating in winter and water heating in summer, is always at the level of 27-28 °
Therefore, I put 5 fans 8x8cm under the inverter and they work daily from 8 am to 5 pm.
According to Solarman, the temperature on the inverter is in the range of 50-58 ° during the day
I called the service and it is supposed to work up to 60 ° without grumbling. We'll see how long

If you have fans, it will probably not exceed 60.

Without fans, the temperature during the day reached 63 °, so I decided to add fans. By the way, passive cooling is probably not a very successful solution.

How much space have you left from the ceiling and also from side walls, obstacles?

Maybe it's not a reason, but from the ceiling it is surely 80 is needed, from the side ones, I don't remember at the moment, see the manual, because if you installed yourself and you have 60, you probably haven't even looked at it, and what about the company, what do they know better than the manufacturer

As I wrote, I have a high temperature 9d gas furnace in the boiler room. In addition, the temperature raises the heat from the inverter, so all this causes the madness to not be achieved. Anyway, a max of 57 ° is acceptable for me. The inverter has a 10-year warranty, if you buy it, you will advertise it and if it will last, applaud it ;)

    Ambient temperature: -25 ° C ... + 60 ° C
I have several previews and there were no more than 60 on the inverter

What can I say. Now I have 29.4 ° and the inverter temperature of 57 ° with the fans turned on. So I don't think about it

These fans will not affect the temperature of the electronics inside and the sensor is probably there, they will definitely help cool the heat sink

The higher the temperature, the shorter the life of the inverter, I have room temperature and so far Growatt does not exceed 30 degrees without support on the factory heat sink and today it gave the maximum. Sofarki can be seen heating up.

Just growatt has a sensor on the sofar heatsink on the IGBT module and this is the temperature difference, the heatsink in my sofar is at the maximum working temperature of 30 degrees. The neighbor growatt is much warmer the same power.

Growatt has at least two temperature sensors in different places. Growatt is warmer on the heat sink because the heat sink has better ground efficiency that does not heat the inside. In Sofarze, the temperature of 50 degrees inside is the norm.

This processor below also looks like something has burned in its structure and burned holes in the casing.
Maybe it's some late April Fool's black joke ;) .

Maybe it's the result of switching jumpers?

Edit: Everything OK - I read that the guy had black jumpers that need to be moved with the marker.

Gentlemen, did any of you extend your warranty on the Sofara website? I have already tried to provide 2 different email addresses and none of them have been sent a verification email.
I wrote to them but got no reply. In turn, I learned from the Polish service, Sofara, that they have no influence on the situation.

When I was thinking about extending the warranty, I called Corab, there is a girl who dealt with the topic efficiently.

I just don't know if it matters, but I didn't buy an inverter from them. However, on the Sofara website you can do it yourself by entering the serial number of the device.

And you have an inverter for Europe or China, check the 4th letter in SN.

Yes, I checked. I decided to set up a new email on gmail - it worked. Apparently something is wrong with the o2 mail for foreign news.

    Hello,
I have firmware version 2.80, if someone needs it I can send it. In addition, I also have an update manual.
Of course, everyone updates at their own risk. For me it went and I have 2.80 now

What did you update? what was the previous soft? and what changes have you noticed after the update?

Topic summary

The discussion centers on experiences with Sofar inverters in approximately 8kW photovoltaic (PV) installations, focusing on technical issues, durability, and configuration challenges. Users report generally stable operation with models like Sofar 6.6KTL-X and 5.5KTL-X over extended periods, though some face connectivity problems, especially with Wi-Fi and software availability. A recurring technical problem involves input voltage exceeding the maximum allowed 600V DC for single-phase Sofar inverters (notably the 4KTLM-G2), causing errors such as PVOVP and BusOPV and inverter shutdowns. This is often due to too many PV panels connected in series on a single string, with 15 Q.CELLS Q.PEAK G4.1 305W panels sometimes exceeding voltage limits, especially in cold conditions where voltage rises. Solutions include splitting panels into two strings (e.g., 8 and 7 panels) connected to separate MPPT inputs, though some users report this does not fully resolve the issue. The maximum recommended panels per MPPT input is around 9 to avoid surpassing power and voltage limits. Users also discuss the need for three-phase inverters for larger installations above 7kW on a single phase due to grid operator restrictions. Software and firmware updates are sought after but not easily accessible, with some users lacking Polish language support. Comparisons with other brands like SMA and Fronius highlight Sofar's cost advantage but raise concerns about long-term reliability and service support, which is still developing in some regions. Network-related errors such as Grid OFP (over-frequency) have been reported, with troubleshooting involving network frequency checks and inverter restarts. Overall, Sofar inverters are considered a cost-effective option with some technical caveats related to system design, installation quality, and support infrastructure.
