From what I found out in Sofar Polska, anything above 2.20 or 2.30 adds nothing to the inverter's operation. Cosmetics in the positive form of other languages, etc. etc. Then the most recent was 2.70.

I updated via SD card, the previous firmware I had was 2.30.
I don't know about the changes yet. I was doing some updates this morning.

I meant what inverter did you update? what model do you have and what was the earlier soft? V ???

    The inverter is 8.8 KTL-X
    Transverse soft is 2.30

Thanks, mate. I wonder if it can be updated via datalogger because it has upgrade inverter options. And if not, I will do it by sd card.

I was just wondering if it would go through Datalogger, but I stopped production for 8 minutes.

Sofar has no remote upgrade or management?

    Are you sure there isn't?
I am using the website: //pro.solarmanpv.com/business and there is such an option, but in my case it did not work, I think that I am doing something wrong and I did a trip and already on, from the sd card

I am asking because it looks like Sofar has been lagging behind today. Where are the rest of the settings?

Apparently, there is such a possibility in these new firmware, but I have not yet found anyone who would use it. In the new series of inverters marked as Generation 3, which will be launched at any moment, it will already be standard.

For me, this soft 2.80 does not come in, it crashes into DSP2.

    Hello.
What is the maximum AC operating voltage of the inverter under code 22 Europe General?

    best regards

the topic has already disappeared from the group. The question of correctness is what my colleague Prose gave for the 5.5KTL-X version, we have 1110.

I have already corrected. In fact, the link does not work has been removed from the Facebook page. Interesting what?

For the cash register? Now everyone will buy the basic version and move the jumpers until they block this possibility :)

We can only guess. The author wrote the thread out of date but probably FB ordered him to remove it at someone's request. In any case, it works and people have confirmed it with charts. I myself would replace the inverter with a larger one, but I can't because "My electricity" does not allow me and after 5 months I do not even have money (and the 3-year grace period begins only after receiving the cash) and probably people are also in this situation and benefit from counting with the consequences or not.

If it spreads out, they will be blocked and the prosumer day will end :)

    The author himself removed.

My question on the group about his motives went unanswered. I can't believe he removed it himself. The claim that the topic is out of date is bizarre. People opened inverters, took pictures and the guy arbitrarily one-man removed the topic for no reason?

    Where's that file?
    Will it change from 8.8kW 1100 to 11kW 1011?

Someone checked if the hardware is identical?

    the sw3 switch in the 1234 positions usually has a down (1) up (0) power switch so we have settings for the power based on the photos received: 3.3kW 1001, 4.4kw 1111, 5.5kw 1110, 6.6kW 1101, 8.8kW 1100, 11kW 1011,

Is it similar in single-phase KTLM inverters?

Open the photo and see if there is a similar jumper.

I will ask my neighbor because I have edited him, but he will definitely not agree.
    I don't remember, there's some gn-seal there. ?
    Added after 6 [minutes]:

    A riddle question.
Recently, I installed two inverters, one 3.6KTLM and 3300TL, both single-phase, both from the EU market.
Going into the settings, "mptt scanner" and below - turned on, I do turn off and it writes "success".
I go back in and write that the scanner is on.
Are you sure it is turned on? Because when I really want to turn it on, I have to provide a time frame.
Someone once wrote that the scanner is off by default. but when i check it in the morning it is on even right after the alleged shutdown.

    Hello
I also plan to buy this 8.8kw sofar because now there is a good price and panels for it, I have 28 320W panels in the plan,
    allegro.pl/oferta/panele-sloneczne-320w-fotowoltaika-pv-mono-9838565937

I counted the voltages, everything is ok, but I'm afraid that I will cut the power because the nominal power is 8,960W and I have a roof 40 degrees perfectly south, quite high because almost 400m above sea level and I'm just wondering how much the power of the panels will exceed me.

The inverter 8.8 is 8800 W and you have 8960 in modules. It may of course happen that it will be 100 or 105% and unfortunately the inverter will limit to 8800 but it may never happen and this is more likely

So what to buy 10kW or let go, the prices are good and 8.8 or 10 is almost the same.

If you have 8960 in modules and you do not intend to add 2 modules, then 8.8

    I have a SOFAR 8.8 KTL-X and 26 310Wp panels, which is 900 Wp less.

as long as I exceed the power of the panels.

Height 80 m above sea level, roof 30 °, elevation 200 ° (almost noon, peak power around 1:15 pm), and for example on Wednesday it was 9000 W for a while!
    then it cut to 8,800.

    I'm afraid you'll over-invest in those 2-4 panels.

I don't have room anymore, so it's full. I make two asymmetrical thongs because I have a 'swallow' which shades my sides a little SOFAR 8kW PV Installation: Opinions, Durability, Failures & Experiences with Inverters
this photo from August 21 at 9.05,
therefore I give one g string on top which will cover the top row and 3 on the second left and 2 on the right for a total of 15 giving Voc max = 840V, Vm = 598V and a power of 5,760W. The second string is the rest, 13 panels, Vm = 395V, just enough for the inverter to enter the optimal range. power 4 160W.

Topic summary

The discussion centers on experiences with Sofar inverters in approximately 8kW photovoltaic (PV) installations, focusing on technical issues, durability, and configuration challenges. Users report generally stable operation with models like Sofar 6.6KTL-X and 5.5KTL-X over extended periods, though some face connectivity problems, especially with Wi-Fi and software availability. A recurring technical problem involves input voltage exceeding the maximum allowed 600V DC for single-phase Sofar inverters (notably the 4KTLM-G2), causing errors such as PVOVP and BusOPV and inverter shutdowns. This is often due to too many PV panels connected in series on a single string, with 15 Q.CELLS Q.PEAK G4.1 305W panels sometimes exceeding voltage limits, especially in cold conditions where voltage rises. Solutions include splitting panels into two strings (e.g., 8 and 7 panels) connected to separate MPPT inputs, though some users report this does not fully resolve the issue. The maximum recommended panels per MPPT input is around 9 to avoid surpassing power and voltage limits. Users also discuss the need for three-phase inverters for larger installations above 7kW on a single phase due to grid operator restrictions. Software and firmware updates are sought after but not easily accessible, with some users lacking Polish language support. Comparisons with other brands like SMA and Fronius highlight Sofar's cost advantage but raise concerns about long-term reliability and service support, which is still developing in some regions. Network-related errors such as Grid OFP (over-frequency) have been reported, with troubleshooting involving network frequency checks and inverter restarts. Overall, Sofar inverters are considered a cost-effective option with some technical caveats related to system design, installation quality, and support infrastructure.
