This keeps the FW commands working fine on my camera, but the night shots are terrible.

Pictures come out bright but there is a lot of grain. However, when you manually release the SHOT button in the TEST mode, the photos come out black. In addition, the bottom PIR motion sensor, after gluing the middle one, does not trigger the camera trap. I don't know what it is and why it doesn't work regardless of Motiondetection settings whether it's low, medium, high no response as if only the middle PIR would work.
    I checked the versions:
20190927 : After uploading this version to PO: 12209 and formatting the card and restoring the default settings, after pressing the SHOT button, a photo is taken (at night), IR illumination turns on, the photo turns dark, but the IR LEDs do not go out (you need to turn them off and on and then they will go out). Pictures come out very burned out (white) in ON mode. The lower PIR sensor, after gluing the middle one, does not trigger the camera trap. I have not tested SMS commands.

20190929 : After uploading this version to PO: 12209 and formatting the card and restoring the default settings, after pressing the SHOT button a photo is taken (at night), it comes out dark practically nothing can be seen. Here's a surprise, both PIR sensors work top and bottom double. Illuminated night photos are as good as possible in a closed room, when testing they come out very bright, of course the grain is but this is probably the norm. Minus is the battery indicator with fully charged batteries shows the battery icon in red. By turning up the voltage to 8V, the battery catches two lines more, I did not set it, but you can see that this is a bug in the program. this version seems to be buggy but so far it seems OK due to the working PIR sensors. I have not tested SMS commands. And the photos come out in two-color COOL and WARM colors

Yes, I know the file was wrong, this is the file for DENVER HSM-5003. I already swapped the file for a good one. In the file I put a clean DUMP memory batch and a modified version that uploads the batch without having to connect the programmer ... useful when we accidentally load other software.

The problem is that I have already tried to upload the updates. Now nothing is showing to me?
I wanted to reset it, but I don't even know how to do it now ...

You can not reset, only overwrite the appropriate firmware.
What firmware version did you upload and why did you upload?

Thanks a lot, I uploaded it "only update" and all SMS commands flicker, I will only check the quality of photos at night.

I mounted it on a tree and then I look on the phone, the photos are tragic, very poor quality and a kind of "graining". And in the dark it's a tragedy, you can't see anything.

I am not surprised by this good advice, sell this crap and buy the HC-550M

Generally, relatively good photos come out normally. If I give a dedicated update from the goods page, there will be normal quality photos and videos, but the * 505 * and * 500 * commands will not be available. Well, I have to save the file to the memory card and update the tree, I bought a package of mms and the internet for a month, then I have to use it ... still give a chance and look for something on foreign sites.

The model wcm-8010MK2 came out, but I don't know if it takes better quality photos, especially at night. You can be tempted at your own risk and check if the firmware from this newer version will work.

I wish I had made a copy of the software somehow before the tests, then there were no other commands except * 505 * but the photos came out very well and the video also, even at night, now I uploaded the software from the goods side and it's still grain, at night the screen is all black, you can't see anything and in addition the photo is a mirror image (?), I don't have the strength for this camera anymore

Did you check this version of 20190929?
The photos are still cold and the battery indicator shows that the battery is low but I don't know how the photos come out at night.

    Hi.
Has anyone solved the software problem for WCM-810MK2 PO: 13456
I did not find any updates for download on the official website and others. I wrote to the bottom bracket, they sent something but it doesn't work stably. If you have any experience with this version, let me know, I'm slowly losing my nerves because I spend more time on this camera, it's worth it. Installed on a plot for a thief and I am still not sure that it will work properly. I can forget about the commands because they work at the beginning and then they do not react and not all of them.
    Thanks for the help. greetings

I fought this FP in hardware, maybe it is not bad hardware, but the Chinese cannot write good stable software for this.

    Share what they sent you.
I only have what is attached.

Remove the SIM card, insert it into the phone and disable the PIN code for the card in the SIM CARD settings.
What operator and how did you set the MMS options.

PIN code is disabled. I put the memory card into another camera trap and everything works. Only in the current one, not and I don't know where the problem is. PLUS operator

Before everything worked, it just suddenly disappeared. Battery powered.

Unscrew the FP and check the condition of the small 3V battery from the inside.

    Hi,
I have had this trap for a year and I still have problems with its operation, version probably PO 12118, because the sticker fell off, read from the S / N from the box.

I have a problem with getting the * 530 and * 531 commands working, as of today it started working * 505, unfortunately when there is traffic, the trap sends too many text messages and the operator has already blocked 2 sim cards for me, I tried to throw the above FW, but how would not the trap responded to them at all, the FWF900.bin file on the card and the trap just starts, the LED does not flash, etc., does the upgrade procedure look different?
The commands do not work as suggested * 505 * only * 505

does anyone have any suggestions what could be wrong?

This is not a successful model, the problems with it are, if not too dark photos are taken at night, it is a problem with MMS or that, for example, only one PIR detector works.

Check from the inside of the FP, especially the 3V battery, if it has 2.8V-3V and if it is tarnished from the bottom. Have you powered FP from an external 12V 7Ah battery?

Enter the currently installed Firmware version.

Put the card in the phone and disable the PIN on the SIM card.
And give your telephone number without +48
You can enter the IP in this form.

Additionally, check if the photos are saved on the micro SD card.

To manage the SIM card, install the Play24 phone application.

And remember, depending on your tariff and activated packages, the cost of MMS is 0.45 PLN.

So, set the interval to a sufficiently long time.

Topic summary

The Denver WCM-8010 camera trap experiences frequent issues with MMS and email photo transmission, SMS command responsiveness, and configuration persistence. Key problems include failure to send photos via MMS or email despite correct manual setup, SMS commands not being acknowledged or inconsistently working, and settings not saving properly when configured via USB cable—requiring configuration through the microSD card instead. Successful MMS operation often depends on manually entering accurate APN and MMS parameters specific to the mobile operator, disabling SIM PIN codes, and ensuring the SIM card is activated with at least one voice call. The camera works best on 2G networks and requires a Class 4 or lower microSD card (up to 16GB) due to compatibility issues with UHS standard cards like SanDisk. Firmware updates improve functionality but may introduce new issues such as screen blackouts or loss of certain features; some users report reverting to older firmware or resetting to factory defaults after updates. SMS commands *505* (take and send photo) and *530* (start) generally work, while *500* (send photo on demand) and *531* (stop) commands are unreliable or non-functional in many firmware versions. Power supply quality affects performance; rechargeable NiMH batteries may drain quickly, impacting MMS sending and infrared operation. The camera trap’s internal clock relies on a small backup battery (VL621/MS621), which if faulty or corroded, causes instability. Night photo quality is often poor, with suggestions to increase ISO to 400. The device’s MMS and email sending functions require precise configuration of APN, MMSC, IP, and port settings, often best done manually rather than relying on automatic operator selection. Users recommend removing SIM PIN, activating SIM via phone calls, using compatible memory cards, and carefully managing firmware updates to maintain stable operation.
