Hello I have a wcm-8010 camera trap and I have a problem. I can't set it to send me a photo by phone or email. I try to do everything as the manual says. I get to the moment when I send a sms with activation codes. When I send a text message, e.g. with the message "start" to the number * 530 *, I get a text message that the message was not sent. I do not know what's going on.
What package? The card is new and registered. I can't send sms insight on the phone that will receive notifications. (in the fotopulapce is orange and tel is play)
Hello I also fight this camera trap and for one hour I got one MMS I have the impression that this device works as it wants ... Maybe yours is better ... It seems to me that the problem lies with you, that you are trying to send an SMS saying "Start" to the number * 530 *!
You should send SMS commands to the phone number you have inserted in the device, e.g .: If your number is 500600700, then you send an SMS saying: * 505 * to the number 500600700, similarly to the other commands, i.e. * 500 *, * 505 *, * 520 *, * 530 *, * 531 * ....
I am another person who has a problem configuring this photo trap I connect the device with a cable to a computer. configures. saves the settings to an SD card in the device. I disconnect the cable. I check MMS settings on the device, all fields are empty. I connect the device to the computer once again, the file with the settings from the SD card no longer has the configurations I entered earlier. what is going on ?
I succeeded. In mmsconfig in the mms settings I gave "automatically", I selected the operator "Orange" from the drop-down menu. The fields for passwords, server and IP address were automatically filled with "asterisks". On the right hand side I will enter the phone number and the e-mail address underneath. Mails and photos are coming by email ...
I had the same problem with MMS configuration. The data entered in MMSCONFIG and after saving to the device via a USB cable did not change any settings in the camera trap. Only saving the settings by the microSD card reader on the memory card itself worked and the settings in the device changed. The automatic setting of the Country and Network Operator also did not cause the device to send photos to the phone. Only manually entering the MMS settings was successful. It adds information in the attachment to manually set in each network to make the device work properly.
I have a different question. I own this Denver too. After inserting the SIM card, does the network name appear on the screen in addition to the signal (dashes) or not? Full of instructions says that it should, but I do not have it and I think what may be wrong (dashes are)
I also have in the PLAY network and only entering the mms configuration data from the attached file brought success. If buddy ogarek7 entered the data correctly and it does not work, then you must mark in the photo and video device operation options (that is, to take a picture and record video first) and then enter the phone number (I have inserted the phone number starting from + 48xxxxxxxxxx) and save it all to same microSD card. For proper operation, the camera has to catch the range because it also didn't work without range ...
As for the question from live, after showing the antenna and dashes with the strength of the signal next to it after some time shows the type of network it caught, but first you need to activate the sim card by inserting it into the phone and making a connection to check if everything works ...
Hello all, I follow the topic for a long time, because I have problems with the configuration of the cameras, but my supplier willingly shared information on how to force the camera to cooperate. So I will share them with you now. Of course, it was not without problems, but I wanted this camera because I did not want to pay extra for another. And here's what we sculpted together with the seller and what conclusions I have drawn after the battle with this system. After purchasing the SIM card and registering it with the operator, at least one call must be made to activate the card with the operator. Sometimes just logging in to the network is enough, i.e. the appearance of the operator's name on the phone, but not always. However, what it depends on I don't know, it's better to assume that you should make a startup connection. Now it's time to remove the PIN. Unfortunately, the camera has problems with it, so the operator card must be deprived of this protection. As the card is already activated and unlocked, we can insert it into the camera, but we do not start it yet. You need to setup. Configuration is done on a computer, but the included software on the board has errors in the database and apart from Orange and T-Mobile, nothing else is automatically programmed. However, from the page below you can download the repaired configurator and all 4 major operators in Poland are apparently able to grasp this machine I checked 3, because I have such cards on hand: Orange, Plus and T-Mobile. They all work properly. There would still be a Play network to check. https://towarek24.pl/kamera-lesna-fotopulapka-denver-wcm-8010-p-311.html " target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener ugc" class="postlink inline" title="" > https://towarek24.pl/kamera-lesna-fotopulapka-denver-wcm-8010-p-311.html For smaller networks like Virgin Mobile, Nju Mobile and others. Rather, you will need to enter the APN access data manually, which you can download from the operator's website. Such a tip, which I found only on the Orange website. As we give the MMS port, it should have a value of 8080 for proper operation in a 2G network and older devices. Operators give this data mainly to phones, and there these ports may differ. Sometimes it is also worth looking at other websites in search of older APNs, for example, in the plus the camera sent me photos both on the data shared on their website (of course with a port change on 8080) as on theoretically outdated access data. With the difference that it seems to me that the new APN data took a little longer, but these are rather my observations, which may not be true, so do not take it for granted. As for the configuration, it looks like this: In the "Mms Setting" "MMS MODE" frame, we change to "Auto". Then we change "Country" to "Poland" and look for our operator in the last drop-down menu. We supplement the "Phone Setting" frame with the phone numbers to which MMS messages are to arrive. We do NOT give the phone number that is in the camera. Precede these numbers with the prefix 0048. Then save the settings by clicking the "Save" button at the very bottom. The window for saving the file that the configurator generated will appear. This file must be saved directly to the memory card that is or will be in the camera, without any subfolders.
Sometimes the operating system sets the upper case letters or just the extension ("PARAMETER" to create the settings file for the camera).DAT "or" Parameter.DAT " . Changing letters to lowercase except the first may also help. The same can be done the reverse way.
Configuration is best done through an external reader, not via a connected camera to the computer. It is difficult to say why, but it affects the loading of settings.
However, if the camera does not record the image after turning it on "ON" mode, there are two options. Damaged camera, then the service, but before it is worth trying to run the camera with a memory card in class 4. Specifically, I sent one of the cameras to the service and one was replaced, but this was just a terrible grain saved to a file. On the other hand, they told me that a card in a class other than 4 may have problems with cameras.
Since I have already touched on the subject of grain, I found today on the producer's website software for this camera, which is supposed to eliminate this problem. The link below, unfortunately in English, but the benefit of today's technology in the form of a translator should help. Perhaps this software also solves other types of problems. I don't know that, I didn't install it. Info about this software is located around the middle of the page. https://denver-electronics.com/products/denver-wcm-8010/c-1024/p-3192 " target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener ugc" class="postlink inline" title="" > https://denver-electronics.com/products/denver-wcm-8010/c-1024/p-3192
When it comes to the number of photos sent. This camera has a default photo upload limiter set to 99 photos per day. As we take continuous photos it sends only the last. When recording a movie, it sends only the photo that was taken before the movie was recorded, and as we set the taking of both photos and film then it also sends only the photo. If it sends every fifth, check the MMS_LOG file, which is discussed below.
Someone asked to send commands. Just like a colleague has previously written. We send a command e.g.
Someone else was asking about the operator's signal strength on the screen. If there are only dashes, it means that the camera cannot log into the network and here look at the beginning of this post, or ask the service, because it may also be damage or try to upload the software above.
However, there is one more hint with not sending MMS. The MMS_LOG.txt file is generated on the memory card. This file contains logs about sending photos by the operator. If an error occurs, it is saved to the file in the form
These codes are easy to recognize. Below 2 documents with a description of the codes. Part one Part two
My seller probably has enough of me after such a long correspondence with me, but a lot of what I have presented to you right now he hinted and gave me a full respect for him from me and I hope that I have helped many of you.
If I remember something else, I will describe it here as edit. If you have any insights yourself, please also write.
I'm running out of ideas on what else to do, so I'm asking for help, this is the case: - new sim card from Plush, first inserted into the phone, pin removed, voice call made
So far tried out variants, all through the microSD card reader: 1. from the goods page 24 configurator downloaded, auto settings for Plus gsm, Plus and range lines are displayed on the camera monitor, all settings are sucked in, two numbers are entered, one preceded by "0048" the second "+48" for checking, videos on the card are recorded , mms missing 2. from the file attached by Wojtek, manually entered data first for Plus network then for Push, then the same effect 3. attempt on the SIM card rescheduled from my phone (Play operator) still no mms but only after this maneuver the file MMS_LOG appeared on the card
I will also add that in each variant I tried to send the codes: * 520 *, * 505 *, * 500 * zero response
Hello, gentlemen, I attach to the subject of photo traps. For several days I have been (un) happy owner of the Denver WCM 8010 photocap. I cannot configure it. At the beginning, after inserting the card and the first configurations, the Orange or P4 operator was displayed when I changed the card and the photo petal received sms commands which was signaled by a gentle blinking of the diode but did not send a reply to the phone and a LOG file was generated. Now, despite the fact that I enter the same settings, the operator is not displayed and the photo camera does not receive these commands from the phone. I have tried different ways in this SD card format Anyone can help something?
As a fresh owner of the Denver wcm-8010 photo camera trap, here are my comments: If your telephony provider is T-Mobile, pay attention to the APN settings, especially the IP because there is a list of settings on the Internet with the fact that the IP address for T-Mobile is rather confused because it starts from 231 .. and on the T-Mobile website you can check provide IP starting from 213 ... Set to start with only MMS and SMTP leave OFF and the fields are not filled. If your telephony provider is not on the list from the machine, choose manual settings, do not worry that the supplier's name or country is not entered, you do not need to fill in the fields related to the APN and the phone number to which mms and email is to be sent (because email via mms also works and you don't need to set SMTP)
Now to check if it works, turn on the device in TEST mode, wait until it finds the network and the name of the operator appears, and then press the SHOT button to take the photo manually. If the image from the camera appears on the screen after pressing the SHOT button, if instead of the image the DENVER message pops up, something is wrong and the picture is not taken. If the picture is taken, which can be checked on the screen by pressing the Play button, after a few minutes, if the APN settings are correct, MMS should reach us. This is a quick check if MMS sending is working or not.
If it works, you can turn it on as it is in the instructions, i.e. first turn on the TEST mode, wait until the network appears and switch to ON. In my case, the camera trap does not send MMS messages when it is in the ON mode, it seems to me that unfortunately it must be returned to the service because it is most likely a software error.
... if instead of the image the inscription DENVER pops up, something is wrong and the picture is not taken.
It rather looks like low batteries. During testing, I suggest putting all 8 batteries in the camera. If, despite this, the camera still puts out such numbers, it can be a problem with the soft.

This situation should not occur during work. For me, none of the 5 cameras that I have do something like that, otherwise it could interest a potential intruder and reveal the position of the camera. If it blinks, I don't know if it accidentally resets. Here, like above, check the power supply to see if the batteries are fine. And look into the logo once you have it. You can read a lot of them there. If you don't know how, throw it here, we will help you.
Hello, I also have a problem with this camera trap. In TEST mode, it normally sends MMS and emails to given numbers / email addresses. In on mode, it does not respond to SMS commands. The problem is clearly with the software. Does anyone have a link to update the system? From the official website, it falls off without any changes. Greetings ! I attach the MMS_LOG file

So yes. The instructions from the seller are a farce. There is actually one piece of paper in Polish. But there are also 2 books and there is no Polish language. I used your instructions because that did not bring results.
I did what you wrote: 1. Buying a starter: PLUS network. 2. Sim Card Registration 3. Activation of the Sim Card 4. Activation Year of account validity 5. Activation of the free mms and sms tariff 6. Inserting the plate into the PC 9. Installing the software and choosing parameters consistent with the information you gave me (now I saw on the sceeenshocie that some 00 appeared on the e-mail is strange ... (at the end). SMTP has not been enabled. MMS is on 10. I inserted the battery, then SD card and sim card. 11. I turned on the device for TEST 12. A picture and a cellular network plus showed me. (I have plush but it is the same) 13. After about 2 minutes I received a photo, then after a few minutes I received another MMS photo 14. I switched to ON mode (I understand that the screen turns off then and I can't see anything ---> When I close the door, I see that the camera is flashing red, then it turns off. 15. I waited about 10 minutes and nothing. 16. I entered the options, it turns out that the movie was recorded and took a picture, but it was not sent as seen
What should I do. I bought this camera only because of mms. Is it a matter of settings that she took only one photo and video. And then she stopped doing it ?? What does she do these movies and photos. Where should I enter in the settings so that she takes e.g. photos every 15 seconds or 2 minutes. Can it be set?
I felt that it could be so, but of course I had to find out. You wear *** and have. The instructions are out of date ... even the appearance of the system is different in the webcam than in the "instructions"
I noticed that during 15 minutes of checking for Test, it consumed as much as 1/4 of the battery ... this is just interesting. After 15 minutes, the cam made a sound like it was taking a picture. Earlier it was audible but a few seconds after switching to the "ON" position After another minute in ON mode, the noise again and the photo again. Later, I took a webcam and switched to TEST mode.
What's up with Interval? 1 s 5s 10 s ?? What's up with multi? ....
TURN?!!
I opened the webcam and its options. Just at this point and it turned out that SMTP is turned off and MMS too. So I turned it on and changed one of the mailbox addresses because "00" appeared at the end. I removed them and left them.
Unfortunately, it wasn't a breakthrough. This crap still doesn't send photos. I've been sitting on it for over an hour and still nothing.
Now, after entering TEst and pressing SHOT, the cam starts again ... well! How to add Logins? you can write it too because I don't get over it very much
I restored to the default settings in the cam and nothing more. I take a Shot and there is a signal that the picture is taken but the screen goes out and the image loads again with the company logo ..
I am also a user of this equipment I downloaded the program from the site and it works, before using the disc he sent a few pics and stopped after logs that there was no funds in the account and there was 6 GB to use, but the control does not work sms does not respond to any commands phone number entered in the format 600 100 100 (without zeros and +48) can it be the reason that I can't control it via SMS?
Hello, and how about this case? operator Pre-paid LUS - coverage is and shows the name of the network, sends mms and email operator LUS subscription - coverage is and does NOT show the network name, it does NOT send mms and email.
in the service office I was given that the gprs apn = internet card and the gprs subscription apn = plus.
Unfortunately, the card works fine and the subscription does not work. Unfortunately for me I have a free subscription sim and I have to start it ..
did anyone use the subscription sim? and knows what could be the reason? I will add that the card is ok, because everything is flashing in tel (sms, mms without limit)
After many hours of testing, I contacted the service, made a software update, learned that the sim card should be able to send photos via 2G / GSM / GPRS / MMS and the camera works best with 2G. And most importantly, what someone has already written about here, the memory card should have a class 4 max 16 GB (the camera has problems with card handling, e.g. class 10). Because I bought the camera in a set with a memory card from the "official representative of the DENVER brand" I did not expect that there could be a problem here. I bought a new Class 4 card, I think I cleared the storage backlog by the way, because the seller was surprised that someone wanted such an old card. The camera magically started sending mms.
The discussion revolves around troubleshooting issues with the Denver WCM-8010 camera trap, particularly focusing on problems related to MMS and email photo sending, activation codes, and setup configurations. Users report difficulties in sending MMS despite following the manual instructions, with common issues including network settings, SIM card activation, and the need for specific APN configurations. Solutions suggested include ensuring the SIM card has no PIN, using class 4 SD cards, and manually entering MMS settings. Users also share experiences with different operators, noting that some configurations work better than others. Firmware updates are discussed as a potential fix for persistent issues, with users exchanging links to the latest versions. The importance of checking battery conditions and ensuring proper settings for motion detection is emphasized. Summary generated by the language model.
