After uploading the settings as a memory card, you need to make sure that the settings have actually been loaded by the photo trap itself and check them in the settings are the same as those saved on the microSD, and in particular the operating mode, so that it takes photos and records video (if it does not take a photo and does not save it on it won't send it in the form of mms to the phone, it won't send video files).

Interval - means after what time from the first motion detection the camera trap will take another photo and record another video (e.g. if the boars walk in front of the camera trap every now and then it will take a photo and send it to the phone until they go away, or the memory punishment is over or they are over) funds on the phone, unless you set, e.g. after 10 minutes, this next photo and MMS will not send until after 10 minutes from the first motion detection.

Multi-set there how many pictures or 1 or more to take. Sometimes when we insert one photo, the camera trap will not send mms, after setting 3 it will definitely send.

If we choose at what times the camera trap is to work, then at other times it does not take pictures and does not send mms and does not respond to commands sent from the phone, e.g. * 505 *

File from the producer's website with a correction for the camera and instructions for uploading it.

But will the pictures still be saved on the card? And the next MMS notification will be sent e.g. after these 10 minutes, as long as there will be traffic in the place (game, etc.)?

    Added after 5 [minutes]:

For the sake of clarity, we're talking about this part of the settings, right?

So when it detects the first move it will take a photo and save it to the memory card. If there is no movement in front of the camera trap, it does not take another picture, but it waits for the set time, e.g. these 10 minutes, and only after this time is the movement in front of the device does it take another picture and saves it on the memory card and sends it to the phone.

That's how these settings in the photo from the "Start timer" and "End timer" time in which the device is to work. If set in the first window, e.g. 20.00 and in the second at 7.00, it will work only from 20.00 to 7.00 in the morning, and in the remaining time it will be inactive and will not take pictures and send to the phone and will not respond to commands.

On the manufacturer's website https://denver-electronics.com/products/denver-wcm-8010/c-1024/p-3192 Kind of download is MMSCONFIG But after running it turns out to be the WCM-5003 version

I have the CD for the WCM-8010 version, but if I set up POLSKI and I load all the settings, I have Portuguese on my device. If I change to ENGLISH on the device and then download to mmsconfig, it crashes German.

You may have your mmsconfig program checked to see if you have any newer version.

I don't know if after this update something doesn't rip with the program. I will play yet.

Hello, my Denver wcm 8010 camera trap takes pictures, responds to commands but there is another problem. If you take a picture during the day, you can't see the person who was moving only the whole environment. Any advice, thanks in advance for your answers.

Can't see it at all. Is there a blurred blurry out of focus?

The camera trap has two motion sensors, one in the middle and the other below collecting movement on the sides. If the game or someone activates this side and does not come into view of the lens, it will not catch it, for this try setting the sensitivity to the minimum and testing then.

Hello. A friend had a problem with this camera trap. The problem was solved by mounting a Class 4 SD card. On the newer one, despite the correctly entered settings in the log mms code 4013 file with incorrect parameters. For an older card, everything is ok. Sends mms and emails. Automatic settings (where there is no Polish choice) and where they are manually operator (Play). Greetings.

For a week I have this photo trap and I will say that it was enough to save to the SD card the MMS configuration given on towarek24.pl and everything with sending mms is OK, the card in Play. The camera trap also works on the configuration with the HC 300M camera trap (I checked because I also have this camera trap). The problem with WCM-8010 is that it does not respond to sms commands * 531 * - switching off, sends a return confirmation SMS "Stop Ok" but the motion sensor still works and sends MMS messages. On sms * 505 * works correctly, takes pictures and sends MMS. There is just a problem with stop and start. Maybe someone will suggest something.

Check maybe after the update this error will disappear. And as far as I remember, there was probably a separate code for turning off the sensor, i.e. in theory it should not take pictures.

I downloaded the update and all sms commands work. However, it is absolutely necessary to re-configure the MMS configuration on the sd card again as it is written in the manual. Otherwise the camera trap does not send MMS messages and does not react to movement. After re-uploading the configuration, everything works.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem with the webcam.

I went through parameters mode, service mode and commissioning - although it is not precisely described and not so bulky - but
    you can get over it.

At first, the camera did not communicate at all via a USB cable - it came back to the service with the system software update and began to communicate normally via USB with the computer as an external disk.

The camera itself works, i.e. it takes photos and a movie sequence recommended by the mode - which can be checked by entering the mode again
service. The camera also performs the instructions sent to the Orange sim card placed in the camera.

Unfortunately, the camera does NOT send mms and email. The SIM card is charged - it has funds, the SIM card unlocked in the Oragne salon, specially for the camera.
mobile number without any prefixes - as Denver has recommended - and nothing ..... if it didn't send, it doesn't.
I got some funny file to upload from the site ... it doesn't work either ... (if it would help, then probably every camera should get such a file)
I have another camera to send for service - but it lasts almost 3 weeks together and I'm a bit tired - because it's not serious.
If anyone has any specific advice that will help solve the problem, please help because the camera would be nice and would be useful - or possibly recommend some other proven product.

I don't know if it's the same for you, but I have noticed in my program that when I set everything up under MMS and go to the SMTP tab and turn ON and put it there, when I get back to MMS, it turns off to OFF, and so next to Maciej here ON there OFF as if it were to choose either MMS or MAIL but not everything at once.
    Buddy Tenis Club wrote:

Send this file if it is not a problem.

It probably doesn't irritate you. Chinese or just a bad copy. A friend was with me twice with this photo trap recently she didn't take photos at night like she did, but black photos came. I told him to raise ISO to 400 so that it wasn't on AUTO but I didn't know if it gave anything.

We also know he mentioned that he would probably exchange for a different model but first I would like to ask what his colleagues use, as soon as I find out I will let you know.

    Hi ... I'm fighting with you :)
Thanks for the idea with the PIN - after removing the webcam starts sending mms, it worked on ORANGE (I didn't have a PIN) and now I got tired on A2Mobile. Unfortunately, I was not able to define the possibility of sending e-mails at any time - I have an ONET e-mail that I wanted to use for this purpose, so that it can be sent to GMAIL, but for now nothing, and I have the impression that the e-mails are reversed in relation to the program - that's what is in the program "Email setting" -> "Email1" in the webcam has the signature "SMTPMail" so like the address of the sender? ...

I still haven't been able to get any return code from the webcam, but I'm afraid to update the firmware a little :) I do not want to spoil what is already working ...

Welcome. Uploading updates helped for a while. Again, it does not respond to commands sent sms (start, stop). It seems to send confirmation of "stop ok" but still catches the traffic and sends mms. Yesterday she sent some strange mms that could not be opened, today everything is ok. Still something wrong. Now if I had to buy again I would not have chosen this camera trap. I have a second HC 300M, Chinese but for over 8 months NO problems. Everything works without a problem, quickly responds to commands and and the quality of night photos is much better.

As I use these cameras at work and we have constant deliveries, I have a small update for you here. I also see that new questions have emerged, so let's do it.

I was able to contact the manufacturer's technician and ask him some questions. And I was told that cameras have problems with SanDisc cards in UHS standard, because these cards in turn have problems with backward compatibility, but with the others they should work. I checked several cameras at home with Kingston, SanDisc, Samsung and some noname cards and unfortunately, but with a 32GB memory card regardless of the class, which camera wants to work (we use 16GB C10 without UHS due to the price we were able to negotiate with supplier)

If the camera in the test mode manually takes and sends photos to the indicated number, it is worth trying with a smaller memory card.

I also learned that there were lots of cameras with software problems. As there were 2 of these lots recently, and 3 are listed today, I am not providing exactly which one should check on the producer's website.
    Manufacturer's website
Around the middle of the page there are listed series of cameras with errors and software to download for each of them. On the page they are preceded by the letters PO (production ordernumber).
Now, how to find out what part our camera is. Each camera has S / N (serial number) and the first 5 digits, to the first dash, is the batch number.

As for incorrect operator data. I've reported it to the website several times, unfortunately I don't know why they haven't done anything about it. As I wrote in an earlier post, on the goods page you can download the entire complete program corrected with me by my camera supplier. Every network is improved there and each of the 4 main operators checked and works, i.e. T-Mobil, Orange, Plus and Play. Someone asked about A2mobile. I didn't use it, but I see that they have a cool offer so I will check it soon and drop a corrected DB here. For everyone who has not read my first post, I encourage you to do this, because several questions arose that are already described and explained there.
Here is the second time here to download the corrected configurator link.
    Link to the configurator
We go to the "Download" tab and click "Software"

I also had cases of 2 or 3 that after discharging the battery the camera did not want to come back alive or stopped sending photos. In this case, resetting the camera to factory settings and reconfiguring should help, and if not, only the service remains, although this case I had only one.

Someone asked why the camera does not send photos despite the available Internet package, because the camera does not work on the Internet with MMS settings. Internet and MMS are 2 different things. The internet package will be justified when the camera is forced to send photos via SMTP protocol to email. Unfortunately I didn't do it and I don't need it, so I won't tell you how to do it because I don't know.

If I know something again, I will let you know again.

Thanks for the detailed information. I finally started with A2Mobile and it works just like before with Orange - i.e. no SMS reply but the pictures are sent. Unfortunately, not every time I enter a photocell ... after returning I will test smtp and I can give a screen with A2Mobile configuration. Meanwhile, if anyone managed to get smtp to act, I would be grateful for suggestions.

With these SMSs, the damn knows how it is, for me one copy can respond to SMS, and after a few hours it can't, and the next day it works again. I didn't ask the technician at all, because I don't use it, but I'll email him right away and as soon as I know something I'll let you know.

There is also my configuration on a2mobile.
It took me a bit ... I bought a cam because they were robbing me a house on the plot. During the holidays, the plot was set on fire "for fun" by a local jacket - all on camera, in addition to the neighbors and fire brigade ;) All reported to the Police. Now I report to the insurer. Meanwhile, the camera with improved settings (longer films) again hit the plot, where during the action my fence was destroyed and ... every now and then I have a lot of recordings of wild animals !!!! :) roe deer, cats, foxes, bird clusters. When I sit down and do something, I will throw it here. Meanwhile, I noticed that the camera, mainly at night (lower temperature ???) records some strange sounds, someone will explain to me?
By the way, a movie with these sounds and a mass of glowing "alien" eyes :)

This tragedy records at night practically visible at 2m. Gazebos are not visible at night. A friend complained about it, I thought it had something damaged, but I see that this photo trap just has it or it actually has to be adjusted, for example, to raise the ISO, perhaps to max 400.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a software that should solve most problems.
Soft is for the OP camera series (in one of the previous posts what and how to check it) 12636, but the technician wrote that it should work with other series. It worked for me. The camera started sending photos with all cards. With the exception of SanDisk, because as I wrote there is a problem with cards and their backward compatibility.
You update the camera at your own risk!

Topic summary

The Denver WCM-8010 camera trap experiences frequent issues with MMS and email photo transmission, SMS command responsiveness, and configuration persistence. Key problems include failure to send photos via MMS or email despite correct manual setup, SMS commands not being acknowledged or inconsistently working, and settings not saving properly when configured via USB cable—requiring configuration through the microSD card instead. Successful MMS operation often depends on manually entering accurate APN and MMS parameters specific to the mobile operator, disabling SIM PIN codes, and ensuring the SIM card is activated with at least one voice call. The camera works best on 2G networks and requires a Class 4 or lower microSD card (up to 16GB) due to compatibility issues with UHS standard cards like SanDisk. Firmware updates improve functionality but may introduce new issues such as screen blackouts or loss of certain features; some users report reverting to older firmware or resetting to factory defaults after updates. SMS commands *505* (take and send photo) and *530* (start) generally work, while *500* (send photo on demand) and *531* (stop) commands are unreliable or non-functional in many firmware versions. Power supply quality affects performance; rechargeable NiMH batteries may drain quickly, impacting MMS sending and infrared operation. The camera trap’s internal clock relies on a small backup battery (VL621/MS621), which if faulty or corroded, causes instability. Night photo quality is often poor, with suggestions to increase ISO to 400. The device’s MMS and email sending functions require precise configuration of APN, MMSC, IP, and port settings, often best done manually rather than relying on automatic operator selection. Users recommend removing SIM PIN, activating SIM via phone calls, using compatible memory cards, and carefully managing firmware updates to maintain stable operation.
