Yes, I have already done it, but I was hoping that someone would be here or on the net with this soft because I wanted to set a trap tomorrow to register events.

Thank you for your willingness to help, if I get something, I will let you know. If anyone finds anything, I'll be obliged

I read the thread again and I have four questions:

    1. Has anyone dealt with a stuck trap after several hours of work? I am asking because I observed the same with the suntec hc-800g.

    2. Have you solved the problem of taking photos every x-time, whether there is traffic or not? Such a timelaps despite the disabled timelapse.

    3. The trap allegedly has 3 sensors, after unscrewing I saw 2 plus some rod in the insulation (I suppose maybe a temperature sensor) these two eyes looking to the side is a pic?

    4. Is the discharged battery responsible for the problem from point 1 and 2? Could someone indicate on which pins to check the condition of the battery because it looks like soldered to the board. How to take it out the least invasively to replace it with another?

For me, the problem with excessive sending of photos was solved by uploading a new software that I received from a service technician from the company where I bought the equipment, I gave the soft one earlier, only I have 801m.

I have just received a new soft from suntec that supports the HC-800G and HC-801G cameras with a 2 '' display. I put on the webcam and the first positive impressions.

As I promised, I am sharing, because it is not available on the Internet and maybe it will be useful to someone. This is the last version to support mmsconfig

And did you check if they added your ID and is it already working on the newer firmware after the application?

Thanks for the file, probably not one will benefit. In case of any problems with this firmware, let us know if you catch any.

    Hello,

Ok, we will add your IMEI tomorrow.

When camera install new version firmware, in app, APN setting is not editable, because app will read apn.csv automatically and you don't need to fill in apn, just need to fill in phone number (sim card number that inserted into camera ).

Then after a while I got it

    Hello,

2 '' inch version HC-800G is early version, they just support mms smtp, doesn't support App.

So to be honest, I don't know if the second e-mail meant that the batch they sent didn't support or the camera didn't support it. I mean, I suppose the camera doesn't support, but we'll see. Though honestly I prefer to work with mmsconfig, maybe because I don't know what the app offers

So I am after testing the new batch sent by suntec and I still have a problem.

When he mounts the camera in the yard or in the apartment, it works properly. It does not wake up unnecessarily or cyclically, just when motion is detected.

When installed on the plot, it wakes up every 3 minutes and starts sending mms. So I decided to check what might trigger it and found nothing. This happens with high, medium or low sensitivity. There was neither wind nor leaves, I have no idea.

The previous HC-300M model worked fine, it did not wake up to anything but actually when motion was detected, but it was too slow. HC-800G is definitely faster, but hmm is it too sensitive? Well, I guess I'll give up the traps for a while

Allegedly there is PIR in both, but the HC-800G has an angle twice as high.

And so BTW, can someone explain to me about the HC-800G:
    Quote:
The camera trap has 3 motion sensors - the main one and two side ones, which allows to minimize the number of false alarms and, additionally, to capture even a fast-moving object

After unscrewing it, I only caught two sensors, and the side grooves in the casing are ordinary dummies.

It's a pity you didn't take the picture.

In the Wcm-8010, you have two sensors, one catches straight ahead and the other lower catches a wider field of view on the sides. I don't know how the high, medium or low sensitivity function works. Is only the upper half-power working at low power, and the upper one working at medium power at full power, and only at high sensitivity that both sensors turn on at max.

Yes, two sensors, while the specification mentions three, so where's the third? Coming back to tenderness, I don't know, but something similar happened to my ears.

These 3 sensors are stretched, the same as the 16MP, theoretically the max is 5MP and the 16MP are interpolated.

You would need to test in the open field, then perhaps it would be possible to determine in what situations which sensor works.

Can the built-in GSM modem introduce PIR excitation under certain conditions? Possibly, I would have to try to seal one PIR - although to be honest I don't want to play too much of it anymore. Especially since the situation with the thief has calmed down so far.

Grade83 and what suntek schools did you work for? Maybe I would test another model - although the HC-800G is a mega plus for the reaction time - here it is really a hat off the head compared to HC-300M v.2.5

I am asking because I was looking through the recordings and visually I could not see any movement, also there was no wind, the plants were not moving

    I was playing with the HC-300M HC-550M and WCM-8010

The range of view of the lens is different, and the field of view of the sensors is different. It may be that these side detectors catch movement on the sides, but if something does not enter the field of view of the lens, it will not catch it in the photo.

The side ones are only dummy ones - I blinded the main eye with the detector (the one in the middle) and left only the side ones and not a single photo. You could have jumped in front of the camera and nothing.

I blinded the side outlets, leaving the main eyelet and the photos are taken the same. Generally, the trap itself is nice, it's a pity I can't figure out what causes it in the field.

Putting outside the window in the block, it is even excited by the lighting of another block about a dozen meters away (by no means comparing photos from the night)

You checked the condition of the 3V battery under the magnifying glass to see if it sometimes tarnished.

The camera I bought is about 2 months old. I checked the battery condition but without the magnifying glass - it looked ok. I wanted to replace it anyway, but it seems to be soldered to the PCB.

I did the second test, set the date on the camera without the SD card, turned it off and after a few minutes, turned it on again, it remembered the date.

The trap works smoothly, it is only strongly sensitive. Yesterday I was with my friend at the place where I wanted to have it permanently installed and I told him to look what could arouse her - he also could not define it. It looks as if she was switching to 3 minutes timelaps at this point (although I know it is not)

Hello, I have had a WCM-8010 GSM camera trap for 2 years, as for the side sensors described above, I blinded them because despite the LOW sensitivity setting, it caught trees from the side, branches, on the middle one it is ok, the camera can wake up the reflection of the sun from the puddle in the morning.

Recently I ran into a problem, the commands * 520 *, * 530 *, * 531 *, * 500 * did not work from the beginning, only * 505 * worked, I did not penetrate because they were not needed, now I have uploaded the firmware update from the goods side and the mentioned ones work the above command except the most important * 505 * - does not send photos on demand as before, and there is no mention of the MMS LOG, as if the camera did not recognize this command at all - if I trigger the motion sensor, it takes photos correctly, sends MMS to the given number as before . Any idea what could be wrong?

Try * 500 * in mine, this command is for snapshot on demand

    * 500 * also does not work, I checked just now, when I hit this command, nothing happens, as with * 505 * and in the MMS log there is no trace, just as if these commands stopped working. Installed Firmware WCM-8010 PO 12209 + 12176 + 12636 from the goods page, my model is 12636.

WCM8010MK2 camera sound problem. You can hear everything well in the video shot of the day. At night (I skip the recording quality at night) we can hear some strange noises, rumbles, etc., and they are definitely not ambient sounds. SIM card installed but MMS and SMTP sending disabled. What could be the cause of these strange sound distortions?

The inspection and the method of replacement are shown in the attached recording in this fasting .

After the update, you should restore the factory settings and reconfigure the photo trap. It does not hurt to check the condition of the 3V battery.

I did several times, and setting again by MMSCONFIG and no effect, it does not accept the commands * 500 * and * 505 *. the log only sends MMS when the sensor detects motion, I can't do anything on request, other commands work. I have not checked the batteries, but even if there is some time, the camera without power supplies the time and keeps the date.

Kingston 10 class, 32GB, Plus network ,, strange, maybe after the update, a completely different command is used to send mms ... I'll try to write to those of the goods, maybe they know what's going on.

It is best to enter the settings manually.
Screenshot of MMS configuration settings displaying APN parameters and other details.
I usually recommend using a micro SD card with grade 4.

The generally stable firmware version is the one with 20180408 you have the WCM-8010-20190929 version installed

He should come. It's just a version of WCM-8010-20191216 newer than yours, but it won't hurt to check.

None of this, the software has not started, it stops a moment on the test screen and turns off, on this typically 12636 works as before, I figured it a bit and all the commands work, but only in CAMERA mode, in CAMERA and VIDEO mode it does not accept commands at all * 505 *, * 500 *. All in all, I would prefer it to be as before, i.e. only the * 505 * command would work, you will have to find the old software somewhere.

    Hi AndyNT
you can check this FW in attachment at your PO12636 camera only for SMS commands test.
With this FW the commands works on my camera well, but night pictures are terrible.
