I've never had an Amiga and I don't know how it works, that's why I started this project, but I still can't get my bearings.
A good guy sent me an image of the SD card, there is an amiga partition that I can't read, and I don't even know how to add files there. I don't know how to add some files or how to get to the FAT32 partition from the Amiga. When I click on something in the Amiga, I only get the message "Unable to open your tool "WHDLOAD" I didn't even manage to run any Amiga emulator on Windows. Can anyone really send me an image of a working SD card privately?

    1. you can make an image from the SD card and mount it under fs-uae.

    2. I'm not sure, but a few years ago you could mount Amiga partitions under Linux.

    3. Connect floppy (or emulator) and copy files directly.

As I recall (the last time I was interested in the subject was about 5 years ago) it's not very possible to throw the layout of the IC connections into copyright. The layout itself maybe, but probably a heavy topic. The only real legally protected element is the software. I wish you the best of luck in your fight against the whackos....

Only that it is not a PCB designed by someone else according to my connections, but 100% my board.
There is a logo, my name.

Please prove to me that it is not a work of art? Seriously.
If it can be a banana it cannot be my board?
    I can frame it.

    From google:
    Quote:
The most well-known is the definition of a work of art proposed by W. Tatarkiewicz : a work of art is a reproduction of things or a construction of forms or an expression of experiences, but only such a reproduction, such a construction, such an expression, as are capable of delighting or moving or shocking.

The DIY-A586 project is an expression of my childhood experiences, when C64/Amiga/Atari computers/.... were popular.
Forumers like it. Maybe they get emotional as they are reminded of some favourite game.
    It all adds up.

Unfortunately, the issue is not as simple as it seems
    https://www.raypcb.com/protect-your-pcb-design/
    https://eur-lex.europa.eu/EN/legal-content/su...n-topographies-of-semiconductor-products.html
As I wrote - I took an interest in the matter a few years ago and in general there was no real protection in our European legislation. Has this changed? Maybe, I haven't kept track, but I don't think it has changed very much. Or, in any case, that the services are already able to react quickly and effectively enough. I can understand the frustration, but if you approach the subject with a detached attitude, calling someone a thief in public (even if they are one, but without a binding verdict) can be more painful than stealing. Unfortunately, those who think that the law is there to protect the weak and the honest are simply very, very, very naive... :(

From what I have heard, I am not the only one affected.

I'll have to rethink whether to share my projects.

Thank you for your Christmas present and all the best for Christmas too.
As for the retrozen offer, they seem to have come to their senses and withdrawn your product from their offer.
Also, I don't know if this was due to pressure or if they themselves came to the conclusion that it might be better not to risk a possible dispute.

    It's me again)))
Working, but not work in Main Menu.
Plz addon work keyboards with Main Menu,i won't install DIYA586 into Amiga500 case.

    Menu.
I'm wondering how to go about it.
I was thinking of autodetecting the keyboard, but I think I'll do a separate one under the A500 though.

For the moment you can use JOY2 to navigate the menu.

You soldered the floppy drive connector the other way round. :) .

    Dear Piotr,
I soldered and assembled your wonderful device V1.9. It is very interesting and I think that not only me.
But I got that ZX-Spectrum core plays a constant noise in the audio channel during the execution of many games (where used AY sounds).
And finally - get that the PC186 core doesn’t even start - i see only a black screen.
RISC-V core - DooM and MP3 work well!
As I have already read here - these may be problems with the speed and timings of the SDRAM memory - i currently have W9825G6KH-6 (7).
But in general - in my box with old parts there are only old DIMM modules from old laptops))
They have chips is only 7 ... 7.5 ns memory and Im tried to solder a few of them - they also work with all sorts of errors in the cores.
Is it possible to fix the ZX-Spectrum core?
And especially - i beg you very much - please rebuild the PC186 core - to work with slower memory!
I understand - it will work overall slower, but at least I'm and many other peoples will be able to solder it and run it.

Thank you very much in advance!

Unfortunately I don't know anything about spectrum, I won't be able to improve.

The "W9825G6KH-7" memories are not suitable, "-6" I tested and they work, nevertheless I recommend "-5".
W9825G6KH-6 can be bought from LCSC for $1. W9825G6KH-5 at Mouser.

    //==========================

    What's new...
Trying to slim down the mikan core. I rewrote the blitter and the DMA part.
    I managed to add an "instruction cache" (1kB) :) :) :) .
For now I am experimenting on v1.6, when it is ready I will add it to v1.9.

Great project. I also soldered this wonderful device. I read the thread and downloaded the source code for the nes core. I want to try to add support for the Sega joystick. But I ran into a problem converting the fpga_nes.bin file to nes.d19. Can you write how to do this in more detail? Is there a converter source code so that I can compile the utility for Windows :)

    "-n" - name in menu
"-sl" - upload from SD to ram (adres 0x0) in little endian order
    "-v" - version

Windows version not tested. Let me know if it works.

There are nes.d19 sources above in this topic. This is the second year I've even failed to start supporting joysticks)
