I got the firmware from the installer and he from the distributor, and my colleague is sometimes not an installer? ;-) I could draw such an erroneous conclusion from my colleague's statements so far ... very professional by the way.

    Wbm.

Are you an installer? that's a bit too much said, I launched several installations in the neighborhood and for children and mine in 2016, I wrote to the website about this update, but the answer is as if they did not know about something like that, the distributor where I bought sofars also does not know anything now, and I read here, so if I could have these files I would be grateful.

    Question for more experienced colleagues.

Does the energy company control meticulously compliance with the documentation, diagram and correctness with art?

I am asking because on YouTube you can see many installation connections by "amateurs" (of course, the papers were raised by someone with permissions) that the energy company connected and work, and in the comments under such a video there is always a flood of "professionals / experts" and picking on dozens of things.

They used to go around and check everything, they even made photographic documentation, but it was 2015 when I plugged in the first installation. Now they will mount the meter and they are gone.

I have not heard in my region that they check anything, The meter is coming and assembled by guests from the energy service in most cases, they do not even ask about the installation if it really is (a year ago it was so with my parents)
In 2014, as I assumed at home, they came as the first in the region with PV in three of them, but they also did not watch the installation, but struggled with the meter and modem, antenna and when they did, they went :)

In 2 cases, they replaced the meters, as even the material for PV at the investor has not yet been, no one asks for anything today, he has an order to replace it, and if the meter in front of the property, they do not even bother to inform about the exchange

And I'm supposed to be scared, one grandfather drives before retirement, which apparently knows and exchanges these meters because the rest probably can't mount the SIM card to the meter. They are not interested in the PV installation because it is on your side of the property, just as they are not interested in your electrical installation in the house, if so, the one who signed up corresponds. Anyway, so much is being installed now that if they wanted to document everything, they would have to build a new office building.

It is a pity that Sofar is so poor with these software updates.

What do you mean? The inverter had v2.01, it already has v2.20, the datalogger has LSW3_14_FFFF_1.0.18, it already has 1.0.30. Everything within 2 months.

Sure, no one checks the installation, when they changed it recently, they only asked "Ladies and these panels when they will be ..." hehe. Which does not change the fact that it should be made in accordance with art.

And where can you download this soft?

Hello, I have a problem with Sofar Solar 8.8 KTL-X. After starting, it works normally for some time, then the PvConfigSetWrong message appears and restarts by itself. Several times until the message Permanent fault (PERMANENT) appears and stops working. Maybe someone knows what could be the reason for this. I also don't know how to factory reset this inverter.

Something with the configuration of the inputs involved, probably the id11 error, did you change the settings or was it like that from the beginning?
how many modules in strings? tell me how it connected on the DC side

I actually entered the input settings without checking what it was originally and set the parallel ones. I have two strings each with 16 320W panels positioned the same on a ground structure to the south.

Change it to independent and it will be ok.
and more than 10kW south on inverter 8 is a little too much and will cut a lot

I'll change to independent and see. This power of inverters was advised by the seller because only a few days a year the panels will give 100% power. Do you know what the setting of the mppt scanner should be and how to restore the factory settings?

It advised you badly. I have one 3.6 on the 3.3 inverter and I regret it because it cuts, I could give 4.4 kW.

Set the scanner to off. For me, the inclusion worsened the yield.

That's why you calculate it and don't buy it cheap, it depends a lot on the temperature coefficient and you are experiencing it now.
The MPPT scanner is used in certain cases, normally it should be turned off because it interferes with the algorithm.

I do not know in what sense you write that cheap is wrong. It can be cheap and good. I suggested, like everyone else, to oversize the panels in relation to the inverter, but now I am a supporter of not oversizing. Let the panels produce as much as they can at the moment.

What is the difference when it comes to a soft datalogger?

Hello, is there any instructions on how to upload new firmware to Sofar? The Chinese sent me. And to the datalogger, not because they wrote that it is not necessary?

Yes, you copy the received files to the firmware folder on the microSD card. Then select update from the inverter menu.

Is the SD card in Sofar inverters only for updating or can you save measurements on it?

The inverter itself saves the measurements on it, an example of the folder structure on the card:

    Code: Bash
Log in, to see the code

in each folder / directory there are .csv files that contain various information such as the amount of energy produced for each hour, daily, monthly and yearly, events, errors, etc.

The cards are pre-installed or do you need to add them because I haven't visited my home?

I have a question. Has anyone used the TIGO TS4 optimizers in an installation with a SofarSolar 5.5KTL-X or similar inverter?
Will it work at all and how effective is it in the case of periodic shading of 4 panels?

    Good morning,

Mama Sofar 3300TL-G3 (new model Sofara series G3 single-phase). I am looking for information on how the Reflux Power Setting parameter (Disabled or Enabled) should be set in point 17 of the menu - in a situation where I do not have any additional equipment connected to the inverter monitoring the power returned to the network.

With the Enabled option, I see that you can enter the power value and set the limit of the power returned to the network.

Maybe someone has experience or knows what the default setting for this point is.

Can he know what is the current software version for this inverter? I have V1.9 on the sticker

    Best regards,

You don't have the Polish language version there?

As for the power output limiter, leave it off or set it to 100% power on.

There is no Polish version. Then I leave Reflux Power disabled.

Do you know what the current firmware version is for Sofar 3300TL-G3. I have v1.9 on the sticker. I have not found any information about the current firmware versions for Sofar inverters on the manufacturer's website.

By the way, I will share in the attachment the instructions received from the manufacturer on how to control the power delivered to the grid in Sofar Solar inverters.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around user experiences with Sofar inverters, particularly the 8kW models, focusing on their performance, durability, and issues encountered. Users report generally positive experiences with Sofar inverters, noting their affordability and efficiency. However, some have faced connectivity issues, error messages related to input voltage, and concerns about the inverter's ability to handle high panel voltages, especially in cold weather. Recommendations include ensuring proper installation, monitoring voltage levels, and considering the inverter's specifications when connecting multiple panels. Users also discuss the importance of firmware updates and the potential for oversizing panels relative to the inverter capacity.
