I am approaching the inverter early this morning to see what and how and the inverter is trying to start but it goes out soon (the screen lights up for 1s + the word initialization and then goes out), I guess it's because the current from the PV panels is too weak.
Is this normal and is it meant to be? If so, then this situation will not have a positive effect on the inverter, capacitors inside, etc.

I was playing this soft from col.grout383 - I do not know what soft it is, for sure higher than my 2.01, tomorrow I will check
key combination, I hope it works, but not Chinese.

And how do colleagues know about these keys?
I will ask for the codes again, there are other "secret" ones.

There are service codes, but it's hard to ask someone to provide it. I found out about the keys from fejsbuka from the sofara forum.

Tomorrow I will try the update from scratch, we'll see what comes out of it.
    Thank you greetings

    Welcome back.

I tried to update the inverter, uploading the software went smoothly.

The key combination (I tried differently) does not work, when changing the language p.10 settings you have to enter the code.
Codes 0001 and 0715 do not work.
There was nothing else to be done. I will keep trying as soon as the codes appear, without it it will not be possible.

I have read that if the serial number contains the letter C, the inverter is intended for the Chinese market, and
maybe there is a problem here, because I have one.

Authorized Corab points etc work poorly with support, update, in general it's some kind of secret.
There are new updates visible but not available to us. Pity.
    best regards

Soft 2.20 is in Polish. For me, after uploading, the default was English.

And on a different barrel, the wifi module stopped working today, resetting does not help. Has it fallen? Yesterday it was working normally.

When uploading, the default was Chinese, you need a code to change the language.

See the LEDs on the module to see what is lit.

Enter the code in position 6, code 0001 and it will unlock for 24 hours Left button 1 time right 1 time arrow down 5 times and right button 2 times and enter code 0001.

    Added after 6 [minutes]:

To change the language, left 1 time right 1 time and the down arrow 9 and right 1 time with the arrow you select the language.

    Added after 1 [minutes]:

I also have the first Chinese, the second English.

You have not changed the address (modbus), which if you set it to other than 01, wifi does not work, such a bug in the software.

As far as I know, Corab has a database of the serial numbers of the inverters it has sold. If you are not in their database, they will not help you.

My friends have softs v2.20, v2.30 in inverters, I have v2.01 and I would like to
    upload a newer soft.
Where I see the update, since there are newer software, it's logical
is that they should be made available, it would mean that the company is developing the product and improving
eliminates errors, unless the company's policy is to send
    inverter, and finally pay.

Unfortunately Col. Prose failed, as long as the unlock code in pos. 6 - 0001 is
good in pos. 10 codes (0715, 0001) are not accepted.
Thanks for your help. Maybe someone will post the codes. best regards

In position 10, you do not enter the code, but select the language with the arrow and enter, right.

In the old version I have, as you say, item 10 and the arrows I choose the language, in the new one I enter item 10 and pops up to enter the code, I will try again (I will take photos) on Monday.
    Thanks.

I got a new datalogger and it works. Interestingly, I can see in its menu the possibility of updating the inverter firmware. Before that, it probably wasn't.

    Well, it is nowhere.
My colleagues above gave soft, probably v2.20, thank them that they want to share.

So the fact that there are newer sofas are determined by the fact that some people have newer soft in the inverter.
    I have v230 myself

    It's great to enjoy it.

If a colleague wants to, have him copy the memory card and insert v.230.

Maybe it will suit me and others. best regards

    Water hen, too bad.

And this is what I wrote about earlier.

Let my colleague "crash" soft and you need to update again (I do not wish), and you need to send the entire inverter to the site.

In addition, I measured the current on each phase, at rest (as there is no PV power supply), on each phase it is about 0.2A, active power 0W (from the sub-meter), immediately after starting this current slightly increases because it gives active power, but the solarman and the data after modbus show about 0.9A on each phase, is this an error in measuring this current by the inverter? How does it look like with you? Earlier, there were probably no such indications of currents, or I did not pay attention.

The following languages are available in the current firmware version (V1.70): Chinese, English,
Italian, German, French, Portuguese, Slovak, Ukrainian and Finnish; newer software updates
    may contain additional languages.

From the observation of the inverter's operation, I notice that when the sun suddenly comes out from behind the clouds, until it reaches its full output power, "moments gather". The output power grows rather slowly. Perhaps the MPPT is calculating and it takes him so long ...

For example: sun obscured cloud> power on 1KW inverter. Suddenly the sun will come out and the power from 1KW grows about 1 minute until it reaches 3KW

This creates some energy loss on the days when the sun shifts and hides behind the cloud.
Do other inverters also behave like this?

For me today I watched and the power grew quickly as the sun came out of the cloud, check if you have MPPT scanning enabled.

MPPT scanning is always off by default and so I have. has anyone tried to turn it on? What were the effects?

Yet such a thing; I have a 1.5KW heater in the boiler and I would like the heater to start automatically on sunny days when the production is about 4.5 KW (1.5KW per phase). And when the Z PV production decreases, the heater would disconnect.

If you don't have any module shading, leave mppt turned off

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around user experiences with Sofar inverters, particularly the 8kW models, focusing on their performance, durability, and issues encountered. Users report generally positive experiences with Sofar inverters, noting their affordability and efficiency. However, some have faced connectivity issues, error messages related to input voltage, and concerns about the inverter's ability to handle high panel voltages, especially in cold weather. Recommendations include ensuring proper installation, monitoring voltage levels, and considering the inverter's specifications when connecting multiple panels. Users also discuss the importance of firmware updates and the potential for oversizing panels relative to the inverter capacity.
